Mississippi Schools Job Fair Attracts 600 for 150 Jobs

The Jackson, Mississippi Public Schools held a job fair this weekend, attracting 600 applicants for the district’s 150 open positions.

The district needs teachers, and a variety of classified staff. Principals interviewed the applicants directly.

The Jackson Public School District is a public school district based in Jackson, Mississippi. The district is the state’s largest, with an enrollment of approximately 32,000 students. In addition to Jackson, the district serves a portion of the Byram community.
