The proposed budget for the Plymouth, Massachusetts School Committee would eliminate 20 jobs.
Half of the layoffs will be teachers and administrators; the rest will be paraprofessionals. The budget also calls for no pay increases in 2010.
Those who could be cut include elementary teachers; music, French and physical education teachers; one special education teacher, a health teacher and a number of “activities monitors.” The school planetarium director position will be cut to half-time.
The Committee will try to save jobs by finding cheaper heating oil for the Winter.
I was very pleased with the TravelingCrossing. I found a great position within a short amount of time … I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a better opportunity.
