Sony Hawaii Says ‘Aloha’ to 31 Workers

Sony Hawaii will cut 31 employees, or 44% of its workforce, through buyouts and layoffs in June.Seventeen employees have taken early retirement packages, and another 14 will be laid off, mostly sales and administrative workers.
Sony Hawaii is part of , headquartered in San Diego, California. Sony Electronics is the largest component of Sony Corporation of America, the US holding company for Sony of Japan’s electronics and entertainment units.
