California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is spending $10 million in federal stimulus cash on programs to place 1,000 at-risk youth, aged 16 to 24, into green jobs over the next 20 months.
Another $10 million from public-private partnerships will help fund job training grants.
Workforce Investment Boards and community colleges in California can now apply for grants of up to $1 million per application, through the Employment Development Department.
