The Johns Hopkins Institutions will provide jobs for 250 local youths this summer, as part of Baltimore, Maryland’s YouthWorks summer jobs program.
Johns Hopkins has been involved in YouthWorks for years. In 2008, 186 participants were placed in summer jobs at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and several others worked for the university.
This year, the health system will place 150 youth in summer jobs, and the university will take on 100.
Last year, the citywide program employed 6,500 young people.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
