Orlando, Florida’s Siemens Energy will create 226 engineering jobs, and invest $50 million in its Charlotte, North Carolina plant over the next five years.
The company currently employs 740 workers in Charlotte.
The average annual wage of the jobs will be $49,000 in 2009, and increase to $66,500 by 2013.
Siemens AG is Europe’s largest engineering conglomerate. Siemens’ international headquarters are located in Berlin and Munich, Germany. The company is a conglomerate of three main business sectors: Industry, Energy and Health Care, with a total of 15 Divisions.
