Avago Technologies to Eliminate 200 Jobs

Avago Technologies will cut up to 200 more employees.

The microchip manufacturer has cut 475 jobs, or 13% of its workforce, since the beginning of the year.

Based in San Jose, California and Singapore, Avago Technologies was originally the semiconductor products division of Hewlett Packard and later Agilent Technologies, before being spun off into a distinct legal entity. It holds more than 2,000 patents.
