Pittsburgh Using Stimulus Cash for Summer Youth Jobs

The City of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will use $1 million in federal stimulus funds, and $650,000 in local grants, to create 500 youth jobs this summer.

The program will create low-paying, seasonal positions for at-risk teens and people in their early 20s. The jobs include restoration and conservation of city parks, and office internships.
