Biden Announces National Green Jobs Program

Vice President Joe Biden announced plans for a national green jobs program on Tuesday, at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.

Five hundred million dollars in federal stimulus funds will train workers for jobs making public housing more energy efficient by adding solar panels. Other workers will be trained to manufacture wind turbines.

Biden said the stimulus bill will create 450,000 new green jobs.
