General Electric to Create 400 Kentucky Jobs

General Electric will add 400 jobs at its appliance division in Louisville, Kentucky, by 2011.The company received $17 million in incentives from state and local governments, and roughly $3 million from federal stimulus funds, for the $69 million project.
GE will manufacture its new water heaters at the plant, which use about half the energy of conventional models.
The General Electric Company, or GE, is a multinational technology and services conglomerate incorporated in the State of New York. In terms of market capitalization as of September 30, 2008, GE is the world’s tenth largest company.
