Grand Rapids, Michigan to Cut 95 Teachers

The Grand Rapids, Michigan Public School District’s Board of Education has voted 8-1 to cut 95 teaching jobs.The district is cutting $9 million in spending in the hopes of balancing the fiscal 2090/10 budget of $209 million.
The Grand Rapids Public Schools is the public education school system covering most of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The district runs 31 schools and learning facilities.
