New Mexico Uses Incentives to Create 225 Jobs

The New Mexico Job Training Incentive Program has approved $2 million to fund the creation of, and training for, 225 new jobs.Film manufacturer ClingZ received $9,960 to create two Rio Rancho positions.
Hewlett Packard got $1.5 million to create 108 jobs at its new Rio Rancho plant. The University of New Mexico’s Division of Continuing Education received $60,000 to train 60 HP employees.
Biotech researcher Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute in Albuquerque will receive $331,253 to create 40 jobs.
Premier Pellets, a wood shaving manufacturer in Tucumcari, got $85,360 for 15 jobs.
The JTIP reimburses up to 70% of employee wages and required travel expenses. Custom training at a New Mexico public educational institution may also be covered.
