Durham, NC Chamber of Commerce Cuts Jobs

The Greater Durham, North Carolina Chamber of Commerce has eliminated four jobs.

Three people were laid off; one unfilled position will be left vacant.

The 14 remaining staff will concentrate on member services, and cut the number of chamber events.

The chamber will hire a business retention director in the next few weeks.

The Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce is Durham County’s leading business organization, serving more than 1,000 business, government agency and non-profit member firms.
