Sparton to Create 100 Florida Jobs

Jackson, Michigan-based Sparton Corporation is moving its headquarters to a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, instead of to Brooksville, Florida.

But the firm still intends to create 100 new jobs in Brooksville over the next two years. Sparton will consolidate all its US manufacturing in Brooksville. Hernando County is offering the electronics manufacturer $300,000 in cash job creation incentives.

The new HQ will be located in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Sparton Corporation provides contract electronics manufacturing services — ranging from printed circuit boards and electromechanical devices to box build (completely built) systems — for corporate and government markets. Major customers include Bally, Honeywell, Siemens Diagnostics and the US Navy.
