Pittsburgh-based energy company EQT will move its headquarters to Pikeville, Kentucky, bringing 100 jobs to Pike County.
The firm will get up to $2.5 million in tax benefits from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority.
One hundred new jobs will be created, while 150 Kentucky employees will be retained. The new jobs will pay around $50,000.
EQT Corporation is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based integrated energy company, supplying natural gas, crude oil, and gas-related services to wholesale and retail customers. As the largest natural gas supplier in the Appalachian basin, EQT operates over 1,400 miles of pipeline and serves over 270,000 customers in southwestern Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky.
