Tellabs to Cut 150 Jobs

Tellabs will cut 150 jobs, or 5% of its work force of 3,230.The firm saw lower first-quarter results, despite a rise in data product sales.
Headquartered in Naperville, Illinois, Tellabs designs and manufactures telecommunications equipment for service providers. Over one third of the world’s wireless calls travel via networks owned by Tellabs customers such as T-Mobile and Verizon Communications.
