Portola Tech Will Relocate, Cut 130 Jobs

Portola Tech International will relocate operations from Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Cumberland, and eliminate 130 jobs in November.

Severance packages and career counseling will be offered to the employees affected.

The Woonsocket plant currently employs 230.

Portola Tech International makes plastic packaging components for cosmetic, fragrance and toiletries markets; plus in-house silk screening, hot stamping, and metallizing.
