Contec Holdings Sends US Jobs to Mexico

Contec Holdings is sending 132 jobs at its Schenectady, New York plant to Mexico and other locations. The plant will stay open with 85 employees, but cease production.The layoffs will affect 100 blue collars and 32 white collars.
Founded in 1978, Contec Holdings is a leading consumer premise equipment repair company providing services to the broadband industry. It has locations in Seattle and Schenectady.
