Hyatt has come under pressure for replacing 98 employees in Boston, all part of the housekeeping staff, with outsourced workers earning half the wages. Last week, Hyatt offered all 98 positions with United Services Company, a staffing organization used by Hyatt. The workers would keep their Hyatt pay rate through the end of 2010 and their Hyatt health insurance through March. Today, 77 of the 98 met at the Unite Here Local 26 union office and unanimously voted to reject Hyatt’s offer. They want their old jobs back and nothing else.Only TravelingCrossing consolidates every job it can find in the domain and puts all of the job listings it locates in one place.
