North American Aerodynamics Inc. has secured a military contract to make parachutes for military operations in Afghanistan and will expand its operations in Person County thanks in part to a $300,000 grant from the One North Carolina fund. The expansion and contract is expected to bring in 375 new jobs, paying an average of $23,834 a year.
North American Aerodynamics is a privately owned company that produces parachutes for military and recreational purposes. They currently have 45 year round and 55 seasonal employees at their plant and headquarters in North Carolina.
