Atlanta Losing 200 Pharma Jobs

Stiefel Laboratories Inc. is moving it’s Atlanta operation to North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park. This move comes months after Stiefel was bought out by UK’s GlaxoSmithKline. 200 Atlanta jobs will be lost, with no word yet on how many jobs will end up in North Carolina.

GlaxoSmithKline purchased Stiefel Laboratories, a global leader in dermatology research and products, in a deal valued at up to $3.6 billion in July of this year. The combined businesses have yearly revenues in the range of $1.5 billion.
