Defense Contract Means 150 New Jobs in Indiana

SCHOTT North America has been subcontracted to make armored windows for a new line of all terrain vehicles designed for combat operations in Afghanistan. To meet the demand, SCHOTT will expand its operation in Knox County, which currently makes glass for the home appliance industry. The additional line of armored glass is expected to bring in 150 new jobs.

SCHOTT North America is a subsidiary of SCHOTT AG, a German glass company founded in 1884.
