Sony Ericsson is streamlining operations and cutting 2000 jobs. As part of a global consolidation, four US facilities will be closed down by the third quarter of 2010, along with two more overseas. The company will move its North American headquarters from North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park to Atlanta and closing that facility, accounting for 425 of the job cuts. Sites in Miami, Seattle and San Diego will also shut down along with one in India and another in Sweden.
