We’ve talked before about how temp jobs are a leading indicator for economic recovery, because companies will often test the waters by using temp workers as things turn around, and then revert to full employment. With that in mind, Novembers job numbers may give us a sign of good things to come. The economy added 52,400 temp jobs in November. Although this is an encouraging sign, it still falls far short of a full recovery, since 44,000 temp jobs per month were shed from January to July of this year.

November’s numbers look good overall, with job losses declining by an even larger amount than expected and a slight decline in the jobless rate.
