Dupont Adds 70 Jobs in Ohio

The Dupont Company announced on Monday at a press conference that it will expand their Circleville, Ohio operations after receiving $50.7 million in federal tax credits for renewable energy manufacturing efforts and $7 million in cash loans and grants from the state of Ohio. The total cost of the expansion at Circleville will be $175 million. Dupont will create 70 new jobs at the site, retain 444 current employees and provide 230 temporary construction jobs. The expanded facility will manufacture Tedlar PV2001 film, used in the manufacture of solar panels.Circleville is located in Pickaway County, Ohio, where unemployment rates were 11.1% in November 2009.
