Convergys Corporation Creates 120 Customer Service Positions

Convergys Corp. plans to create 120 jobs within the next two months. These jobs will mainly be based in the company’s Hickory, North Carolina call center. 500 employees currently work at the facility. New employees will provide customer service for an unnamed telecommunications client. The average pay for a customer service position is $9.50 per hour. Convergys employees are offered flexible scheduling and benefits including tuition reimbursement, 401 (k) and paid and unpaid time off.

The Hickory-Lenoir-Morganton area of North Carolina where the call center is located reported a 14.4% unemployment rate for November.

Convergys has 75,000 employees in 85 call centers at various locations throughout the world including the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
