Cisco Systems Adding Up to 3,000 Jobs

Cisco Systems will add between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs over the next few quarters as it looks to expand into new markets. The news was revealed during a conference call outlining Cisco’s positive financial numbers for the second quarter of its fiscal year.An optimistic CEO John Chambers said Cisco is seeing growth in all its businesses and across all regions. He said the second quarter was a “tipping point” and an indication that the economic recovery was entering into a second phase.
Cisco is headquartered in San Jose, Calif. and has 65,874 employees worldwide.
