LabCorp to Hire 350 in North Carolina

LabCorp, based in Burlington, North Carolina, will hire 350 employees after spending $4 million to consolidate its billing operations. Most of the new employees will be hired at the company’s Greensboro, North Carolina facility. LabCorp will receive a $275,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund. The City of Greensboro contributed $373,000 in grants to LabCorp and Guilford County added $248,791 to that amount. Between 50 and 52 people will be transferred to Greensboro from the Burlington headquarters.The new positions will pay around $27,000 per year, minus benefits. Founded in 1978, LabCorp employs 28,000 worldwide. It is one of the largest clinical laboratory networks in the country.
