Moses Taylor Hospital in Pennsylvania has laid off 61 full time employees. This is the first time in 17 years the hospital has laid off anybody. The cuts effect every department including the administrative staff. CEO Karen Murphy says the cuts come on the heels of increased cost for care and decreasing reimbursement rates. She says that over the past decade the hospital has had non sustainable operating losses.
