Kohl’s Adding 500 Jobs in San Bernardino

Kohl’s Department Stores is opening a new e-commerce distribution center in San Bernardino, Ca. and plans to hire 500 employees. The company will begin hiring in March for the 970,000 square-foot facility, which is set to open in June.

According to Business Journal, Kohls.com saw its revenue increase by 48 percent in 2008 and another 38 percent last year. The San Bernardino facility will first serve customers of kohls.com throughout the United States, but by 2011 the facility expects to service only the western U.S.

Hiring is expected to continue through October.

Kohl’s has one other distribution center dedicated to Web site orders located in Monroe, Ohio. Interested job-seekers can find more information at kohlscareers.com.
