Ohio’s Production Paint Set for 66 Layoffs

Production Paint Finishers Inc. told the state of Ohio it expects to begin laying off approximately 66 employees on April 12. The company cited the loss of its largest customer as the catalyst for the job cuts.“Although we are actively soliciting new customers and remain hopeful that some of the laid off employees will be recalled in the relatively near future, some of the layoffs will likely be permanent,” said Allen Francis, with Production Paint, in a letter to the state.
Production Paint Finishers had fewer than 100 full-time employees prior to the layoff, according to the letter.
According to the Dayton Business Journal, Production Paint operates five paint booths at its 100,000-square-foot facility.
