Defense company DRS Laurel Technologies announced it is having yet another round of layoffs. The Cambria County, Pennsylvania-based company is letting 70 employees go this time around.
The vice president of the company maintains that DRS is committed to the Johnstown area in Pennsylvania.
The layoffs represent 10 percent of the companies workforce and include management positions. The company laid of 50 workers just back in January, including manufacturers and support staff.
“We continue to enjoy very strong customer relationships and ongoing contracts that support the men and women who serve. This workforce reduction reflects our organization’s strong desire to meet our customer’s expectations to be efficient, in an increasingly competitive environment,” said Richard Goldberg, senior vice present for public affairs.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
