Social bookmarking site Digg has cut its staff for the second time in the last two years. CEO Kevin Rose reduced 10% of the workforce, although weighing in at under 100 employees means that this translates to fewer than 10 people.
Along with the news of layoffs, as was the case during the previous round, there was news of hiring as well. Last time sales was to receive new employees, this time engineering and development.
More specifics as to the details of the layoffs were revealed to his staff during a meeting Thursday afternoon.
Kevin Rose is also the founder of Digg, and took over the role of CEO from Jay Adelson just a month ago.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
