In a recent post, the AFP reports on US/China relations and the upcoming trip to China of Secretaries of State and the Treasury, Hillary Clinton and Timothy Geithner.  The two will travel to Beijing for talks that focus on the close relationship and interdependence between the two countries economies.  Scheduled for May 24 and 25, they come in the wake of China’s booming economic renaissance, the weak dollar and the resulting increase in exports to China.

Despite recent conflicts between the US and China over the undervaluation of China’s currency, the current state of affairs at home have put pressure on both cabinet members to press forward and come home with tangible results – namely a plan for creating new US jobs to serve China’s growing number of consumers.
