Thousands Of Green Jobs For North Carolina?

Bloomberg Businessweek: Researchers from Environment North Carolina released a report today claiming that the Tar Heel State could generate more than 28,000 jobs in the solar energy business in the next 20 years. Through some complicated calculations, the researchers conclude that if North Carolina increased its current solar powered electricity production from the current state mandated rate of one percent to 14 percent by 2030, the potential for jobs in the field of “green” energy would increase exponentially.

Readers will have to stay tuned to see how the state legislature responds to the forecast, as well as to which “green” industry up-and-comers try to tap this potentially profitable market.
