By setting their mind on green tech, he said, Americans would not only be helping the environment, but they would be securing a place in the global market and creating jobs.

A key part of the administrations economic recovery plan relies heavily on the creation of “green” jobs. The unfinished Solyndra factory he visited yesterday was clearly a symbol of that plan. Its construction has already created some 3,000 jobs and it will house over 1,000 employees for its ongoing operations.
