The Shelby Star: Clearwater Paper Corporation has plans to invest $260 million in a new manufacturing and distribution center in Shelby, North Carolina. The good news came in an announcement today issued by the State’s governor, Bev Perdue. The new plant, which will employ 250 plus workers over the next five years, will produce bathroom tissue and paper towels for Southeastern and East Coast grocery chains.
Clearwater’s new facility in the Southeast will be its first in the region. It has facilities in both the West and Midwest. The Shelby distribution center and plant is part of the company’s plan to serve the Eastern Seaboard more efficiently in response to growing demand.
The State of North Carolina voted today to award Clearwater with a Job Investment Development Grant, under which the company, through tax breaks, is eligible to receive up to $3.48 million over the next twelve years.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
