The Boston Globe says that Bedford, Mass. Software maker, Progress Software Corp. announced yesterday that it will eliminate between 140 and 160 jobs. The company is cutting up to nine percent of its work force based on plans to shift much of that work to India.
The company, which currently employs some 1,700 persons worldwide, went through another round of layoffs back in December, letting go of around 250 workers at that time. The current round of cuts will occur company wide and a spokesperson for the company stated that less than 2 percent of the those layoffs will affect Massachusetts based employees.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
