Farm equipment maker Deere & Company is increasing by 10 the number of people being laid off at its John Deere Davenport Works in Iowa.
Deere said it would place 200 employees on indefinite layoff; previously, the total was 190.
The facility makes articulated dump trucks, four-wheel drive loaders, motor graders, log skidders and cabs.
Word of the increased layoffs comes days after Deere told workers it plans to lay off almost 700 workers at factories in Brazil and Iowa, an announcement that followed a forecast of lower sales.
