135 Layoffs Occur As Brunswick Corp. Shuts Down Ashland City Assembly Lines

Two of Ashland City’s boat assembly lines for Brunswick Corp. have been shut down, resulting in 135 layoffs.

Last week, Brunswick spokesman Dan Kubera made the announcement that they would be selling Triton Boats to Fishing Holdings. Fishing Holdings is an affiliate of Platinum Equity.

Production of Triton fiberglass boats will be moved to a Fishing Holding’s plant based in Flippin, Arkansas.

Around 90 employees will keep their jobs, awaiting Brunswick’s final decision regarding what to do with the line.
