Atlanta To See New Jobs, Chase Branches

Bloomberg Businessweek: JPMorgan & Chase has plans to open 10 new Chase branches throughout the northern Atlanta metropolitan area by the end of 2010, with another 35 coming by the end of 2012. Construction is already under way on eight of the initial ten and the company predicts adding some 350 jobs over the course of the next two to three years.According to federal statistics, the banking industry in the Peach State has suffered the loss of 13,000 jobs in the last two years. Despite the hit taken by the industry overall, Chase senior VP and market manager for the southern region of Georgia and Central Florida expressed that the banking giant was committed to continual growth and was dedicated to excelling in those markets it serves.
