Gannett to Lay Off 37 in Wisconsin

Gannett Wisconsin Media, a division of Gannett Co. Inc., Announced Thursday that it will lay off 37 employees in Green Bay. All of those to be laid off work in advertising, including 34 ad designers and 3 ad services staff members. McLean, Virginia-based media conglomerate Gannett is best known for publishing USA today. Gannett owns 82 daily news papers in the United States, including the Green Bay Press-Gazette and nine other local papers in Wisconsin.

Ad production will reportedly be moved to Gannett’s offices in Des Moines Iowa.
