ISS Facility Services Inc. Lays Off 70 In Missouri

70 employees received pink slips in Springfield, Missouri after ISS Facility Services Inc., a janitorial company, lost a contract with Cox Medical.The layoff notices were submitted via a letter sent to the Missouri Department of Economic Development in Kansas City and to the mayor of Springfield, Jim O’Neal.
ISS Facility Services offers janitorial services to different 10 Cox Medical location, however, the company did not receive a new contract.
The spokesman for CoxHealth says that they are in final negotiations with a new provider who he declined to name. He also told those laid-off employees that they were welcome to apply for new positions once the deal with the new provider is made final.
ISS Facility Services Inc., is a Denmark-based company with operations in 52 countries. They employ more than 480,000 staff worldwide.
