Sticking to a strict diet can be one of the toughest things to do in your life. However if you see how to attain your goal of dieting, fasting may not be all that difficult. Traveling is probably not the best instance in which to start a strict diet but if you are currently making choices in your food and diet plans, then modifying them slightly to accommodate travel is not as difficult as it may have seemed at first.
If you are going to travel in an airplane, you need to check out the diets they are offering. Asking for vegetarian food may be the best bet, but this does not include specifics such as vegan or low cholesterol foods.
When driving or taking a bus you may be tempted to stop at different restaurants or wherever the bus stops, and eat whatever is served there. Avoid this as much as possible! If you are on vacation you may wish to splurge a tiny bit but this can be harmful for your health, especially if your dietary needs are special.
Also try to pack your own food when traveling. You can then choose your own food, such as low fat milk or whole wheat bread etc. These are much better choices and you will save a lot of money as well. If you are going to stay in a hotel, you can call ahead to communicate if there will be a refrigerator in your hotel room or not.
Lastly, make informed choices when you eat out. If you choose salads or pasta, get the dressing on the side and check out low-carb options. In fact, many places print these fasting options directly in the menu for the health-conscious people. Control your portions by arranging for small sized servings.
